I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with windows 98 and some how I am missing
Registry or system.INI when booting up my laptop which does not start windows
properly.
I can not reconfigure my laptop because my dvd is not reading the disk so I
can not retrieve this from the fisk itself. Is there anyway else I can get
this Registry or System.INI from somewhere of download it from Microsoft site?
I would appreciate help from anyone with any information on this problem.

Boot DOS (from any booting floppy)
CD to c:\windows and
SCANREG /RESTORE
If your laptop was configured to save earlier
good Registries you can restore one of these.
