Hi there, just a quick question since I am still a relative novice. Is it better to have a MOBO who's chipset will be made by the same company with whom you intend to purchase their graphics card as the technology may be more complaint, higher optimisation of tech?
Ie.... If I am intending to buy a x1800xt would I be better off buying a A8R-MVP or the A8R32-MVP deluxe even though I will not be using crossfire just yet just because they both utilize an ATI chipset. My originl plan was to buy a crossfire board and in 9 months if I wanted a graphics upgrade I could simply buy a x1800xt crossfire edition to be my mastercard and use that as a way to upgrade my graphics.
However, I have been reading recently and most people seem to advise that unless you are instantly going for dual card it is better to get a decent card now and in 9 months time if you want an upgrade you simply sell that card and buy a DX10 compliant card.
If I were to go that route I would probably go for the A8N-E as it seems to have a decent following and decent reviews however that uses the NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra chipset.
If I were to go the single card MOBO route and get a MOBO with a Nvidia chipset would it be better to go for an Nvidia card, say the 7900GT?
Thanks in advance for all the help you guys can give
