INTELLIGENT DESKTOP?

what is it? once in awhile, a thing pops up called Intelligent Desktop
Sychronization Manager and starts downloading stuff from the internet. do I
need this thing?

No, you don't. It's Spyware. Get rid of it using Add/Remove Programs if
possible, and/or then see the article in my signature regarding
Security.

I work with computer security al and what steps have you done to remove this
and can it be removed from add/remove programs. Thanks and please post back
for more advice from me and Gary and other experts.

alright well the thing isn't in my add/remove programs. I searched for it in
Files and Folders but I got nothing

If you will turn on the "include original message in reply" others who did
not see the original message can follow the topic and maybe help you. When
you turn off the option to include the original message, you eliminate any
late help.

That's just ,more reason to assume it' spyware. Get the appropriate
scanners and clean up.
