Asus P5LD2 Deluxe and Number of Burners

Can this mobo connect to three burners?

If yes, how are the connections made?

I agree with Burner 1 and 2 on Primary IDE, Master&Slave.

However, this mobo does not have a Secondary IDE. It has a PRI_EIDE and a SEC_EIDE, which, according to the manual, do not support optical drives.

So... I am still looking for an answer.

Doesn't support optical drives? Sounds suspect to me.

Anyway, if it really doesn't, just get a PCI IDE controller (not a RAID controller, which probably won't work with optical drives.

i have the same board and problem.i have a 7200 rpm hard drive and dvd burner connected to the one ICH7R IDE connector.the 2 red connectors are the ITE 8211 raid connectors.i want to connect another cd burner and i cant figure out how to do it.this board must be able to hook up more than one optical drive.
