ccapp.exe is a process belonging to Norton AntiVirus 2003. It is responsible
for the auto-protect and email checking facilities, both of which will not
function correctly if this service is stopped. This program is important for
the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated
so uninstall and reinstall your antivirus , see if it will cure it

2. Copy/paste the following line into an IE Addressbar, click on GO, then
copy/paste the results into your reply:
javascript:navigator.appMinorVersion
NB: To assure a clean install, your anti-virus application should be
disabled and all other running processes closed before
installing/uninstalling anything, including Windows Updates.
3a. 837009:
Is Outlook Express Q823353 listed in Add/Remove Programs? What version of
MSOE.DLL do you have?
3b. 891711 (AKA MS05-002):
This update was revised and re-released earlier this month. Uninstall it
via Add/Remove Programs ('Windows Hotfix 891711' or similar) then reinstall
it via Windows Update.
3c. 823559 (AKA MS03-023):
What versions of HTML32.CNV and MSCONV97.DLL are you runnining?

1. Disable your anti-virus application and close OE. Leave them that way
till finished.
2a. Uninstall Outlook Express Q823353 & reboot.
2b. If 'Outlook Express Q837009' is listed in Add/Remove Programs, uninstall
it, too, and reboot.
3. Check in at Windows Update and install the OE Update identified and
reboot.
4. If 837009 was installed in #3 above, visit Windows Update again to see if
823353 is now offered.

> ...HTML32.CNV Version 10.0, MSCONV97.DLL Version 10.0
If 823559/MS03-023 is properly installed, both HTML132.CNV and MCONV97.DLL
should be v2003.1100.5426. (Find each file using Windows Explorer search >
right-click on it > Properties >Version).
If this update is found in Add/Remove Programs ( [Windows Update] Q823559),
uninstall it, reboot and then reinstall it via Windows Update. Do all of
this with your anti-virus application and all other programs (e.g., IE, OE)
closed.
