when i save a file from file menu-save as command my pc is not working.
instead a blue color screen comes

What does it say on the blue screen, exactly?
Based on the subject line of your question, I presume you are trying to save the
file to a floppy disk. Have you tried using a different floppy disk, and do you get
the same error?

Can you read files on any floppy disks, or does that also cause an error?

Start the computer in Safe mode, then go to Control Panel, System, Device
Manager and remove the Floppy disk controller or controllers. Then restart
normally. You may be prompted for your Windows 98 CD.
