Which is it? Is it "jumping back and forth" (changing screen location) or is it just changing from arrow to hourglass over and over?

Or both?

Restart and leave the machine alone for a while. Does the behavior repeat?

It's changing from arrow to hourglass over and over, super fast if i let
it set or even if i move around screen.
You said--"Restart and leave the machine alone for a while. Does the
behavior repeat?". Tryed this and like last time is fine. But as soon
as i go online it goes crazy again. Sorry forgot to tell about being
online when this happens. I have AVG, Spybot s&d, Ad-Aware SE, and
Spysweeper but do not fine anything bad.

Do you have any of those anti-spyware applications running in the background as a "real-time" scanner?

Do you have a firewall?

Before going online, right-click everything in the tray area and Exit, Quit, Disable or whatever. Except your firewall, if any (and ignore things like Volume Control.) Then press Ctrl-Alt-Del and write down the list that appears there. Post back with that list.

Also tell us what browser you're using (look in Help-About.) What kind of internet connection? Cable, DSL, Dial-up?

Go to a plain-vanilla site like www.google.com. When the page finishes loading, does the mouse still do its thing?

Does the mouse stop changing when you close your browser?

What do you use for email? I notice your message headers mention WebTV. Is that right?

If this is a cordless mouse, try new batteries; if it's a corded mouse
borrow another one and try it.
