Hello,
I am running windows 98 SE with no problems. Have purchased and hoping to
install a anti spyware program but get the prompt to install lastest windows
installer service pack.
Software manufacturer says there file is an msi file extension and I need to
download the lastest windows installer.Version 2 redistributable I think.

Basically I would like to know if it advisable to do this as I don't want
to upset a programme configuration that works, I am not sure which version of
installer I have anyhow.

Any suggestions on this one Thanks in anticipation .

Download the latest version here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=CEBBACD8-C094-4255-B702-DE3BB768148F

or if the link breaks:

For info on the installer:
http://search.microsoft.com/search/results.aspx?st=b&na=88&View=en-US&qu=installer

Do not download ver. 3.0, AFAIK it's for Win2000 multilingual
