Background:
I am doing a fresh install of XP Pro on PC with a new MB (Soyo KT880).
The MB has 4 IDE connectors. 2 regular and 2 for onboard Raid (can be used
as normal IDE).
My 2 optical drives will use the normal IDE connectors (IDE1/2).
I want my hard drive(s) on the IDE 3 (& 4) connectors.
I do not intend to use the onboard Raid, will just use them as normal IDE.
I have no floppy drive.
Problem:
While installing XP I pressed F6 to install the Soyo third party SCSI
drivers that will allow me to set IDE3/4 for normal IDE function.
I select S and it asks me to insert floppy with the drivers into Floppy
Drive A.
Err!! I do not have a Floppy drive,.. so what do I do??
I went into my Bios and Diabled all inference to a floppy, but no joy.
My floppys are in a drawer with my slide rule and my multimate word
processor software.
I do not want to just run everything off the IDE1/2 connectors
