Motherboard alarm going off.----(A8N32 SLI Deluxe)

My Friend called me up to tell me he just bought a new 500 meg stick of ram as he had 750 meg before --- so he tried to put it stright in and nothing registered ..... so he took it out and changed slots and then the computer would not start up...and the mother board is making the alarm signal .... so he has tried changing slots , tanking them out and puting them back to the way they were.. but nothing--- he has asked me for help ..but i,m a cluless myself :roll: ... A8N32 SLI Deluxe is his board..and has a mix of ram...

What kinda and speed of RAM does he have? I assume you meant 512MB stick and 768MB split between two sticks? Also the alarm sound your hearing could be a specific warning...does it go beeeeeep beep beeeeeep or what? What are the specs of the system?

yeah the idiot did not push the ram stick properly in,..... !! thanks for your help anyhow..
