Hi

I was planning on buying
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813123236

My friend says it will overclock will with an Opteron 165 and Crucial Ballistix 1gb ram.

Someone told me to stay with MSI instead the one I picked before..

Can someone telll me which would be a better choice, or if there is something better in that price range? I don't want to go with DFI since everyone is saying its very complicated to Overclock DFI boards.

I want to reach 2.4ghz
If possible .. 2.5

I have this board, and it overclocks my Opty 175 to 2.6GHz stable, and that is with using 4 sticks of 512MB Corsair RAM.
I just ordered the A8R32-MVP since I had an opportunity to sell it and replace it! I hope to be able to get to 2.7 or 2.8 with new one...

between the 2, i'd go for the MSI. they've had some fantastic OCers in the predecessors to that board -

* 865 MSI, won the Toms MB Tsunami a few years ago

* the MSI neo4 has gotten some major thumbs up, i think from anandtech.

personally i've had 2 MSI 845G Max, but no Epox. Epox might be a great board.

MSI neo4 reviews, look at that chart, a lot of thumbs ups for the MSI neo4

uh oh, the Epox is getting real good reviews to.

now it will be impossible to choose. 8O

maybe it boils down to color or how many SATA ports you want. they both look real good.
