3800 is a dual core processer. the 3700 is a single.

i have a 3700 in a Asus a8n-sil deluxe with 2 gig corsair xms ram and i have the cpu overclocked to 2.81ghz (255*11) on the stock cooling idles at 35c.

and the 3700 has a 1mb L2 cashe over the 3800's 512kb L2 cashe, i have use a 3800 and i can tell the difference between them and i like the 3700 more
