DAmn. Just built a new system, thery are as follows:
DFI LAN PARTY SlI-Dr eXpert
1gb kingston hyper x
7900gt EVGA 500/1500
X-FI ExTREME MUSIC.
I've got the FORCEWARE 84.20. While playing NFS MW in max rez, it plays just fine, after acouple of minutes, I hear a screech in my audio, and my game just freezez. Disabled the onboard audio. My guess is that the 7900gt that I own is faulty or the mobo, but I could be wrong.
Ever scince the first day I've tried putting it together the mobo was making series of beeps, indicating that it cannot detect my 7900gt??
Whats going on here, if the sound card is messed up, then the game should still play just fine, and not freeze up. Like I said, either the mobo or the VGA is faulty.
PLZ help guys, I cant play my games w/out having to worry what will happen.
Once I restart the pc, everything is fine 8O
Strange...........

:? Vegeta , It Seems That Your Are In Trouble ...
Try These :
1- Disable ANY OverClocking ...
2- Maybe Your Creative Sound Card Is Bad,Take Out Your Creative X-FI ExTREME MUSIC & Then Play With Your Onboard Sound Card ( Uninstall Creative Drivers Before Installing Onboard Drivers ...)
3- Update Your nForce & Audio Drivers ...
4- Install A New Fresh Windows XP SP2 ( This Solves a Lot Of Problems )
Just When Your Windows Installation Is Finished , Install The Lastest Drivers & Then Go Play Most Wanted Before Installing Any Program
5- If Still Have The Problems , It May Be Your eVGA Card...
6- Try To Reach SuperSayan Level 5

if your system works fine after reboot, you may own one of those rare systems that need some warm-up time (my bro's computer was the same: it would crash after being on for 10 minutes, once rebooted would run for days without a hitch).

Flashing the BIOS can't hurt, though.

Heheh, the problem w/ bios flash is the last mobo it did it to, booted just fine. but once I took apart the PC, and put it together again, the bios wouldn't work, so I was stuck with a blank screen 8O
My quess it;s the Graphic card. While building this rig, I've noticed that almost every time I tried booting it up, the mobo would make a series of beeps, I knew it was the GPU, so until I took it out and placed back into the PCIe socket, Then it ran fine, I'll be pissed if its the GPU, my gut tells me that it is. but I quess I'll try the options that you guys have given to me.
Thanks for taking the time to hear my problems.
Oh by the way, I'm working on the sayan 5, its really hard though, It takes time

That's a BS warning dating back to the days when Norton System-thingy (which included crappy firewall and antivirus)would strangle any running process, whether they accessed the 'Net or not; I would strongly recommend that you do NOT turn them off: these softwares have gotten much lighter since then.

As to the failed BIOS update: if the machine ran until you put it apart, it's either:
- it needed its CMOS cleared, with the use of the small dedicated jumper;
- you damaged one of the components during disassembly/assembly.
