Often I spent time dubbing HTML documents.....deleting, copying, pasting
parts and inserting various images...jpg or gif types....etc. During these
activities, now and then, a warning comes up and asks if I would like to
retain the large amount of nfo in the Clipboard. I usually say NO and
continue on, but sooner or later this error message comes up:
Microsift Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error Program C:\Windows\Explorer.exe
Abnormal Termination
OK
When this happens, Ctrl-Alt-Del shows that Explorer is no longer in the list
of the open programs and all stops.
Rebooting is then necessary, usually by two or more
Ctrl-Alt-Del.
Thank you, in advance.

(1) Is it very rare or does it happen only after an incredibly huge
monstrosity of a copy/paste that fills your entire clipboard? The
clipboard will grab all of RAM if you let it. Then, something that wants
to use some may misbehave, perhaps even Explorer. Best remember to empty
the clipboard by copying a single character to it, after doing a huge
one.
(2)

Search "Runtime error Explorer"; Windows 98; This Product Only; Full
Text; All Words; Anytime; does produce a page full. I don't see an exact
match for you, though.
(3) He wasn't talking to you, BAP. He wasn't talking about your reported
error message, either. Finally, I don't know whether he cured that
other guy, BUT...

Thanks, PCR!
Not sure about what a 'huge' amount may be in terms of bytes.
I suppose it might have something to do with it.
However, I did download 5.6 Scripting Engine and will install it. On my next
session of 'dubbing', I will keep track of what may be in the clipboard and
empty it out, as you suggest.
Thank you for your time!
