Hi, I have a P4 2.8GHz CPU, socket 478. I was trying to trying to place the CPU in a bag, to keep it safe, and my clumsy fingers bent two pins. If the little notch thing was in the top right, they would be on the bottom right. These two pins:

They are NOT broken off, just bent. Is it safe to "push" them back? Is the CPU gone for good? I've heard that there are just some pins that don't actually send information, is this one of them? Thanks!

I don't know what those pins do, but how bent are we talking? slightly bent?

I've adjusted pins before to make it fit but it depends on how bent they are.

Well, they are slightly bent, maybe at a 60 degree angle, towards each other. Very slowly, then? OK, I'll make sure I ask someone with more nimbler hands than mine. Thankfully, it is easy. Thank you both!
