When I click on links for MIDI files, a new browser window opens up and the MIDI
is played using Quicktime. On my computer, I have my file associations set so
that audio files are played using Winamp.

Why are these MIDI links on web pages being played using Quicktime? Is it
because of the particular web page, or can I change something to get them to
play in Winamp?

Click Start> Settings> Control Panel, double-click the QuickTime control applet,
select the File Associations menu, and make sure that MID, MIDI and RMI are not
selected.

In WinAmp, under the Options> Preferences menu tree (or similar, depending on the
version), select File Types and make sure that MID, MIDI, and RMI are all selected
to be played by WinAmp. If they already are, de-select them, then Apply, then
re-select them and Apply again.
