1st gaming rig - need help with decision

I need help deciding which mobo to buy: this asus http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131524 or this abit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127225

I've got all my other components picked out and am going to order after i decide on which mobo.

I would go w/ the ABIT KN8 for these reasons:

-fanless heatpipe
-great performance
-less likely to have a DOA or near future problems that will cause headache and need RMA, since asus quality assurance has literally dissapeared for A8N-xxx series motherboards

I have used once so far in a media player / gaming build I highly recommend it. Not to mention the loss of a north bridge fan is simply one less component to fail and cause problems.

those were my thoughts exactly. i have had good luck with asus in the past but from what i have read these boards are not the best. i have built a few rigs with abit boards with nothing but success. i just needed some reassurance on this decision before i made my purchase. i was leaning towards the abit from the get go. thank you for your comment. i will continue to watch for any other comments before i buy.
