CRT's have better color reproduction, better refresh rates, better resolutions and lower latency.

However they are very big, heavy, emit dangerous radiation, consume a lot of power, produce a lot of heat and their images are never geometrically perfect.

LCDs ARE geometrically perfect [ a straight line really is a straight line], emit no dangerous radiation, greatly reduce or eliminate eye fatigue, consume much less power, generate much less heat, weigh less, are smaller and more portable.

Also the non-widescreen version of the Samsung has a higher resolution ( 1600x1200 ).

The standard res is 1920x1440.

Some high end 21" CRTs can do 1920x1440 or 2048x1536.

However a 21" Samsung LCD can do 1600x1200 which is pretty close without any of the problems CRTs have.
