Everytime I overclock my video card using coolbits, It defaults back to its stock settings every time I reboot the pc.
I did manual overclock (3d performance only). I changed the settings to 337/771, then ran the test. I also checked the boxes that say fan always on, and apply settings at startup then press apply, and then ok.
But whenenver I reboot the pc, it goes back to default 325/700.
Ive tried different settings and it always passes the test but defaults back every time. What am I doing wrong?
The card is an EVGA 6800 128mb ddr 256bit. Im also using RivaTuner 2.0 to unlock the extra vertex shader. Wasnt able to unlock the pixel pipes though without artifacts.

I think you're right. I seem to remember riva overriding coolbits.

Dude, dont you even read the post before you reply???

As to the others thanks, I didnt think of that. It probably is Rivatuner.

Yes guys, that was it. I did my overclocking with Rivatuner instead of coolbits and it worked fine. Thanks again.

I had the same problem, but i installed RivaTuner first, unlocked the pipes,

and set the fan speed. Then i Installed CoolBits, and used it for clocking. I

didn't uninstall Riva, and everything is hunky-dory now. :P

Have you got the 84.xx series drivers? When I had the 81.9x drivers it would go back to default regardless of if I used rivatuner or coolbits. After I upgraded my drivers everything was peachy.
