athlon64 3800+ (single core) too hot?

i get 49c idle and around 60c on load.

i already have arctic silver 5 on the cpu WITH a zalman 7000-copper heatsink/fan.
wtf? my ambient is 29c so i guess it can't be my case. or could it? i have an aspire x q-pack.

maybe your heatsink is on funny.

try reinstalling your heatsink. make sure you screw the equally, not just one screw all the way because that can make it crooked. screw one screw a little then the next a little and the next and the next

bad heatsink install. venice's just don't get hot. mine was loading up earlier, turned out the fan was malfunctioning :roll:
