My laptop loads to a black screen

Hello,when i turn on my laptop it goes onto a back screen with white writing , says something to do with disc is not consisten and check cable? can you tell me what to do?

Re-seat the hard-drive. The connection in the laptop is probably internal (no cable). Next step would be to try a new hard-drive in the system. If that is also not detected, you need to have someone check the motherboard and/or drive connector.
