How to use atitool?

Im trying to overclock my x800xt. I have never overclocked a gpu befor so this is new to me. How long sould I scan for artifacs befor rasing my mhz. I am using atitool v.25 beta 14, ati driver 6.3? Would like you info!!!!

The X800XT's had a decent clock already, you will probably get more from the memory than the core.

Setup a overclock profile, save settings and fan speeds ect.
Then go into settings and tick the box - lock reference divider.
Then hit the tab to find max memory or core, mine stops and gives a donk noise when it can't go any further.
Back the settings of by about 5 to 10MHz and set and save.
I havn't had any problems with this method myself, testing and scanning.
