The PMDG 747-400. Said to surpass PS1's 747. Almost all systems have been
realistically modelled. A 358 page manual. Over 100 animations for the nose
gear alone. Over 18 months in development. Coming very, very soon.

Hi Goran,

Mate, we've already had The Addon of the Year, several times, this
year - the RealAir Griffon Spitfire, the JustFlight Spitfire pack, the WoP
Mustang P-51H, the Westland Whirlwind, finally a good cockpit for the
Messerschmitt Me 260........ I could go on.

What is it with you guys and the "heavies/airliners"?? Must be a N.S.W.
thing........

Only 340 days to go!!

Regards,
John Ward

because.. it's a fine study of the atmosphere, flight dynamics,
engine modelling, and navigation! :)

Also wonderful for delving into world geography.. and it can be
done on modest hardware platform.

Hey....that looks absolutely stunning!
It sure blows the pants off of the PSS747-400 Pro.
PMDG does it again!

I'm looking forward to flying it, but I'm not looking forward to reading a
358 page manual. If PMDG used the same FMC they used in the 737NG, then I
probably won't be needing that manual.

But there's one thing they need to do before they release their 747....add
KLM to the livery pack. I'm definately not pro-KLM, but they've always
stayed loyal to Boeing, only adding a handfull of small Airbus' to their
fleet. The least PMDG could do is add them to the list to respect that
"friendship".

KLM along with a few other liveries are already available for download in
the downloads section.

I was waiting to hold out for the MD11. It was Officially announced before
the PMDG747 and I was waiting without trying to hold my breath or turn blue
LOL.

Now, they come out with a real beauty. Several features that look
completely out of the norm and now just announced another feature the cargo
expansion pack. If the MD11 doesn't make an appearance soon they might
loose me as a customer for that model and I probably will go with the 747
cargo.

I usually don't go with payware, there are some great things these artists
do for the freeware and then the payware isn't much really better. Some
things do stick out like the PMDG737 and all its features and textures.
Then you have the Level D sim. You have FSNav and then the possible pay
register for FSUIPC which I still can't see why its worth it but this must
get little communication interpreter does such a great job and can even
multi-task on its own. That its hard to argue about it. Active Sky was a
really great freeware addon in the days of FS8. Now its payware and looks
more capable than it did back in the days.

The only plane I ever actually purchased was the PMDG Beach 1900D. A week
after I bought it and was disappointed it wasn't actually that much better
then most of the freeware planes out there PMDG releases the cargo version
the 1900C. Didn't give notice and if they did I would've held out for the
cargo ship. Now they do just that, I guess they did see my comments in the
forums LOL. I was really looking forward to the MD11 but like a kid in the
toy store I will get distracted and buy the 747F. For the price I will only
buy one major ship not both.

Oh man....do I feel like a twit!
I just looked at the list on the first page. I didn't realize the liveries
were already available for download. An the FMC manual too!

So I just downloaded that FMC manual and I'll be downloading the skins I
want real soon also. I guess that means I'll be purchasing the 744. :))
I can't wait!

But I still can't believe they'd rather sell the 744 and the 744F Cargo
seperately and distribute twice in stead of rasing the price a little and
selling both birds in one package!

Then again....I'm really not into flying a plane full of rubber dog turds
from one piece of the planet to the other.

Okay...I'm done babbling now. ;-)
I'm just a little giddy, that's all.....good times are coming, the 744 is
on its way, the summer has been good already and the beer is chilled just
right. <g>

You know some dev guy, or dev guys, worked their ass off to get a decent 747
into MSFS2XXX, I can't believe you guys are bashing it so hard AND without
using the PMDG version either! Sure if you have 10 or 12 guys working on ONE
PLANE it's gonna be good for sure, when they take XX months to do it. MSFS
has many different kinds of airplanes, maybe they didn't have time to really
iron out all the nitpicks or make them as detailed or have functioning FMCs
or whatever.

Remember guys, it's a 747, not a 737 that's being made. TOTALLY different
aircraft. Add 6,000 to the runway or try landing at KSUS. I don't see what
all the jolliness is about: it's a 747!

MD11? Yeah, I want that. I want a manageable airplane, atleast something
that can takeoff in 5,000 feet.

Don't get me wrong, I think the 747 is going to be nice but remember....
it's a 747. If you really want to be smart you should ask yourself, "Do I
fly the MSFS 747? Am I buying this plane cause it's got extreme detail and
an FMC?" 737-NG 600/700 has that.

Just remember the MSFS dev team, they created a world/standard that we use.
