Ok I know that 7800GS is G70 GPU. G70 is also in 7800GTX so is it possible to open all 24PP?
Do I will feel speed increes if I upgrade from my old VGA(FX5200) card to this one? And witch CPU would be best for this card? And witch brand is the best:
3dCLub
Albatron
Aopen
Innvision

Can't unlock 7800GS, just 6800GS AGP. Yes you will notice a HUGE

difference going from 5200 to 7800. A 3.0G and up Intel or 2.0G and up

Athlon64 will compliment the 7800GS very nicely. :)

Huge upgrade in ghx
you can not unlock the 7800GS

If you are considering a new processor then go 939, PCIE mobo and a 7800GT card

u will get huge performance leap over 5200. 7800 GS is indeed a powerful GPU, and make sure u r equipped with a good power supply to supply juice for you GPU.

The speed difference on your upgrade will be vast. There was a huge jump from the 6 series to the 7 series. I moved from a 6800GT which I loved to a 7800GT and the difference was well worth it.

8O 5200Sucks BIIIIG Time  , you will see HUGH improvment even if you go for a 6600GT, a 7800GS will be like having 36 5200FX in MEGA SLI :D

not true follow this instruction and you will be able to enable the pipeline but be very carefully because I got a black screen when I enabled the pixel and had to a restore of my last known reg at boot up. Here is the way to do it.

Open RivaTuner.cfg ( You can find this file in RT's folder) with notepad.exe.

In [GPU_10DE] section, you will see " NV47 = 90h-9Fh" , add " , F5h" at the end of this line . Then it will look like :" NV47 = 90h-9Fh ,F5h".

You are Wrong :) , first of all, there are two things I cant understand from your Pictures :?
1.- Why is the name nv47 on it, That was supposed to be a 7800 and got renamed to G70, maybe is the riva tuner, but well is not soo important as number 2..
2.- you have 12pp where the real 7800 have 16pp so you are showing us pictures from another card, with the 7800GS Driver.-
I have mine with Riva Tuner and it sais That is a G70 not a NV47, with16pp

EDIT
And my RivaTuner Config Already have that NV47 = 90h-9Fh,F5h, maybe you have an old version of riva tuner.-

Yes that is becase I added the codes myself so at that time riva was not updated to the new riva the new pic in general show the updated one. But the options for the pixel pipes were unlockable
Have you tried to unlock any extra pipes I did with bad outcome just wanting to know

Reply to gomerpile

dude its not a different card its the same its just when the codes are added manualy that is the default I dont bs on the fourms dude before you shout bs make sure you got proof the pic clearly states 7800gs its just by default when you add the lines the software riva cannot read the info of the 7800.

Is not possible, They are Hard Locked, Laser Cut, for what i've been reading, so we will have no luck, Lucky for me, That i Already sell it, and waiting for a real 24pp 7900GTX from ASUS, that will rock!.- :P

I doomed failure in unlocking with the new riva 16 but I just cant figure out with the older one when I added the line in and it gave me 12,6 and I was able to unlock to a 16 but I now see what your saying
