How do i get the sims 2 nightlife to work on windows 7

Hello,
I just bought a new computer and it has windows 7.I've loaded the sims 2 base game but when I try to load the sims 2 nightlife it stops at 47% and gives me a message about some support issue. I dont know what to do now and i've searched on the internet whether its compatible with windows 7 and apparently it is so what do i do now?

you can try pulling all of the files off on the cd into a folder then try installing from there............

Run the patches to Sims 2 first, then try to install Nightlife. Post the exact error message you get. "some support issue" is not too helpful to track down what is happening.
