Problem i'm having is that above message comes up when trying to repair or
reinstall Office Premium 2000 (with SR-1) on a Win98SE computer, prevents
application of the repair or installation of an update like SP-3 for Office
2000 ... also says Office cannot find or run Findfast ... it may be
corrupted. Can anyone help? This started when in using Excel and going to set
print area or preview print the computer froze ... leading me to try to
reinstall Office.
I would also go to Msconfig (start, run, type: msconfig) and deselect the
Startup items while you are doing the Office installation. Probably the
most common cause of installation failures is that something is running in
the background that interferes with the installation.
You may also want to post your question to a group that supports Office.
