Hey guys,
I need suggestions for a good single player (may not have net access)FPS for my laptop. I love CS, BF2, those kinda shooters. But, I'm going on a trip and looking for something I can play decently on my laptop. I may only have dialup access so that's why I'm saying single player. Decent specs on the laptop, just possibly no net access.
eAny suggestions??

Just play HL and then HL2 back to back. That is plenty of single player to last a while :)
After you run steam once and it does its unlocking, patching, etc. You can run it in offline mode away from an internet connection.

Call of Duty is the best FPS I have ever played. It really draws you into the experience. Somehow it is different than all those other WW2 titles.

I have to agree, COD and COD: United Offensive are amazing. So is Half Life 2. My sleeper favorite is Mafia, could probably pick up that little gem for 10-15 bucks now.

System Shock 2, Halflife, Theif, and a wierd but cool game, more of an adventure game is Sanatorium.

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher bay.

Excellent if a little short but can be bought dead cheap at the moment but is well well WELL worth it.

Far Cry.

Best single player game I have ever played. (Its multiplayer is not worth it.)

Can't wait for the sequel.
