PDA Toshiba e740
PC/0S Win XP Home
ActiveSync 3.7.1

PC STATUS
Win XP SP2 installed
Win Security-Firewall is OFF. The Firewall on the Belkin router is
permanently on.

PDA PROFILE
Home. Security is OFF.

On attempting to connect the PDA to the PC via Bluetooth the following
message is displayed on the PDA.

'Cannot start communications with the desktop computer. The communication
port is not available. Another program is using the port or it may not be
legal.'

Please can anyone explain this and offer a solution.

Have you ever had this working before? It sounds like the ActiveSync is
waiting on the wrong com port.
