Hardware reference guide pdf's or similar

I am looking for any reference guides that include common hardware models/types like different types of RAM, different socket processors etc. They need to have photographs and possibly model numbers.

Is there a resource like this available? I obviously don't expect it to have every single piece of hardware in the world, but common types of cables, components and the like would be great.

I guess it's a long shot.

I only remember two charts for AMD and Intel cpu history, describing and detailing more recent models, but i can't find it...
