I'm running 98 2nd win. explorer(2) the Help File is there, except the
troubleshoot file is missing. When i pick a subject to troubleshoot the
first question is there i choose one of the choices & click next then there
is nothing - blank screen. How do i reinstall the helpfile?

There are two different fixes, depending on the Windows updates you have installed.

The original fix for the older update was this:
First, click Start> Settings> Folder Options> View tab, and click to enable "Show
All Files" and click OK.
Click Start> Find> File or Folders, and search the C:\ drive for a file named
Tshoot.inf...it should be found in the \Windows\Inf folder.
Right-click Tshoot.inf and click Install on the menu that appears.

If the latest cumulative patches for Internet Explorer are installed, there is only
a workaround.
Run the fix mentioned above first, then use Workaround #1 here:
http://basconotw.mvps.org/98_help.htm
Scroll down to the section on the troubleshooting wizard.

Thank you for replying to my need for help. I check Windows update weekly. I
did just do a clean install of 98 2nd again a month ago. I will let you know
how this worked for me.

Eeeek! Yuuuk! It DOESN'T post correctly, just as you say...!...

http://basconotw.mvps.org/98_help.htm#Windows help troubleshooter
wizards are blank after clicking next:

Anyhow, who would click a link just to go to the bottom of a page?
