More about somebody illinois store sell sapphire x850xt
  1. Ill is a large state, but Microcenter has 2 stores in Ill, and they have the higher clocked X850XT platinum edition for $199. it's a retail box built by ATI card not a Sapphire.

  2. TigerDirect has a Ill store also.

And Fry's has an Ill. store. They have some incredible deals at times so worth lookin into if it's near you. Not sure if they stock or honor their www.outpost.com prices though.
  3. Pauldh, do you think I should buy that video card retail box built by ati?

    What´s better?
1.- ATI Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition / PCI EXPRESS (by ATI)

    or

2.- eVGA 7600GT CO Superclocked / PCI EXPRESS

Ah, you are asking a question that could create 10 pages of discussion without getting a unanimous decision. The XTPE is the top of the line X8xx series card. That evga Super clock is the top 7600GT. My feeling is the X850XTpe would win 70% of the time depending on the game, but the 7600GT has Sm3.0 which allows you to try and run OpenEXR HDR in games like Farcry and Oblivion. Both good choices depending on the games you play. My own personally order is X850XTpe>X850XT=7600GT Superclock>7600GT. But I would be happy buying either of the two you asked about. If you want to save money, here is a cheaper PNY 7600GT http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1930000&CatId=0

This review has the X850XT, X850XTpe, and a reference clocked 7600GT. Click on the games/resolutions that matter too you.
