Flash drive recommendation?

If you can:

Get one that is shaped relatively thin and long. As the fat ones prove to be troublesome to get into a USB socket.

That has a cap.

That has a neck thingie so you can hang it around your neck.

And be sure it is USB 2.0. Though that is pretty standard these days.

O, and try to get one that has a link cable bundled with it. As sometimes there is no easy way to get at an available USB port.

Other than that....I am not aware of any particular maker to stay away from.

I have heard some good things about the OCZ Rally. But don't buy it just because I mentioned it.

I use a no name 2gb flash drive and am thrilled with it.

I have the 1 gig version of the drive below. I like it alot. It is small and fits tight USB ports and has a cap.

Corsair 4Gig Flash

It is $10 more then the one you list. But i think the design is better due to its shape. You might have a hard time plugging the one you list into some USB ports.

Edit: I just realized you had a Canadian sight listed. So the price difference will be larger. Sorry about that. I would still recomend the drive i listed. If it is in your budget.

Since the size is big, I'd recommend researching transfer rates on the drives you're considering.

Even at 10MB/s, a 2GB drive would take 200 seconds to fill. Typically drives don't run at the full 480Mbps = 60MB/s USB2.0 spec.

Its pretty boring to just sit around and wait for a transfer to finish... Especially if you need to go somewhere fast.
