Do the Intel Dual Core processors need any special treatment when it comes to cooling, also I have the 660 GT with the Silent-Pipe II how will this affect the system temp? Thanks.
I suppose it depends on which dualcore processor from Intel you're talking about... if you get an 800/900 series processor you can expect a moderate to high amount of heat output... and yes, that should raise your internal case temperatures unless you have excellent airflow. So if that raises your internal case temps, logically it'll raise your video cards temps as well.
Alternately, if you were talking about a Core Duo (also an Intel) processor, I would wager to say it has lower heat output than the CPU you're presently using. People here would probably want to know what processor you have now as well as what case.

Well thats the same as mine and yes it gets quite hot, but not as hot as the new cards as the transistor density is way more.
The more transistors = more heat
same for the GPU and the CPU.
TWIN CORE = TWICE THE NUMBER OF TRANSISTORS.
Be aware that the stock fan supplied with such CPU's by the manufacturer
is concidered sufficient to cool it, providing you are venting the case

Intel's Core Duo is worth serious consideration if you care about performance, low noise and high efficiency in a PC system. We compared it to efficiency specialists Pentium M and Turion 64, but found the Athlon 64 X2 to be a potential show-stopper.
