DVI to VGA

Is there any peformance diffrence between DVI or the standard VGA connections?

I really don't think there's any difference at all. I have tried both but I can't tell them apart.

DVI gives Digital image to monitor and VGA gives analog. It depends how the monitor translates it to image. DVI is always better but in a good monitor you can't see the difference.

Thanks everyone for that, I didn't know if I should buy myself a DVI cable or stick with my VGA.
