Cpu motherboard 64-bit compatability

Will a motherboard which dosent support 64 bit processor make the processor run at 32 bit , i think the 64 bit processors are back ward compatible ?.Is it wastage of processor caplbility of 64 bit processing on a 32 bit supported motherboard my queries are regarding both intel and amd

uhh , lol i never really thought of that



but yeah a Mobo that is compatible with a AMD 64 , socket 754 or 939 , should run pretty good
