I can't decide whether two buy two 7800GTs and put them in SLI or to buy one 7900 GTX because both would be roughly about the same price. Which would give better performance or would they both be the same???????

Nearly all new games support SLI; between two 7900GTs and a 7900GTX, I'd take the GTs. With a volt mod and water cooling, you could make those two 7900GTs faster than GTXs.

Two of these:

It's $580 for the pair and they come clocked to 520MHz/1540MHz right out of the box, not 500MHz/1500MHz like it says. I have two of these and you can easily overclock them to 570MHz/1720MHz, that's where mine are running. Two 7900GTs in SLI usually beat a single 7900GTX by a decent margin on the tests they win, on the ones they lose it's real close. They will beat a single 7900GTX more often then not.

Can I have a third choice like 7900GT SLI?

I would rather have 7900GT SLI than a 7900GTX

And I would rather have the 7900GTX than the 7800GT SLI. (I agree with prozac here)
