When trying to install full retail Windows 7 home premium. I am trying to install on a brand new Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive. Mobo is ASUS P6T deluxe v2, Intel I-7 950, In Bios it reads my HD and my SATA DVD/RW.

I click on Disk 0 partition 1 then instantly get this;

Full error message: Windows could not format a partition disc 0. The error occurred while preparing the partition for installation. Error code:0x80070057

Please help been on this for 6 hrs now.

Thats strange because this is usually a windows update error!

This error also happens on some raid setups!
