BF2 FPS with x1600 pro 512 ddr2

Okay I am having a problem getting great FPS in BF2. These are my settings and specs

P4 2.53
1.5 GB ddr pc2700
Radeon x1600 pro 512 ddr2
I am using extrem ati 1.6.3 drivers

Now I run BF2 at mid on all I get high of 52 low of 15 during heavy battle.

Do you guys have any ideas to imrpove FPS?

Might be my video card? I sure hope not just payed 249 for that today at Best Buy. I thought it was pretty good.

its kinda a mid-range card


the 6800gs will get higher Fps then the x1600pro and even the x1600xt


the other parts r ok , but i really think its your videocard

Look at some of my previous posts regarding the x1600 pro. I had that card in my system for 2 months and finally got tired of having a less than capable card for gaming. All the x1600 suck (pro or xt). You should have gotten a 7600gt, that'a what I did and I am so pleased with this card. My 3dmark05 score went from 4600 with the x1600pro to 6666 with the 7600gt so the numbers speak for themselves. Too bad you just bought the card ..... take a look at this 3dmark05
