If anyone has any idea how I might work around the following, I'd
greatly appreciate it. Here's the setup: A Xerox XD130DF printer
attached directly to a Windows 2000 computer. Two Windows XP connect to
the Xerox printer via a LAN. They can both print on the Xerox, as can
the Win2k computer, but are unable to change any print settings, e.g.
orientation, resolution, etc. like the Win2k computer can.
Xerox printer support says they can't help since the printer in't
explicitly designed (read: marketed) as a network printer.
So, is there a trick to being able to print, say, landscape from the
WinXP computers, with this setup even though it's not explicitly a
network printer? Is it an old vs. new driver issue (As Xerox support
suggested, I'm using a newer driver. Changing print properties worked
when the WinXP comps were Win2k comps some time ago).
