I've just purchased a VP920B LCD screen, I've connected it to my graphics card using the DVI connectors and the monitor is displaying properly in digital mode. However any black text is showing a very noticable white halo when placed on a grey background. Using the analogue connectors doesn't have this problem. Any ideas on what can be done to reduce it?

Just a WAG, since I haven't seen the problem, but check the display properties, Appearance tab, Effects button, and change the 2nd option (about smoothing onscreen fonts) from ClearType to Standard. I think that's what cleartype does - when text/background contrast is low, it makes it more visible by putting a halo around the text.

Mike.
