Is there something wrong with my 3Dmark score ?

My rig:

AMD64 3000+
1GB 2700 ram
Asus NF4 motherboard
160GB maxtor HDD
Sapphire X1800XT 256 (Catalyst 6.4)
Windows Home sp2

I ran 3Dmark05 3 times and the average is 7404. Isn't this a low score, others seem to be getting near 9000. I'm currently playing Black and white 2 at 1280x1024 max quality with no a.a. and its not running smooth at all....

Your CPU is holding your 3dMarks back a bit. Overclocked to maybe 2.5 Ghz, you would probably reach about 9000 3dMarks.

I agree, your cpu and PC2700 mem are holding you back. I have the same card and am getting something like 8850 at stock speeds, which is a little lower than I expected.

its the ram, the cpu is holding you back for 100-175 points. the ram is KILLIN you.
