I want to put together a system that can handle 3d (not gaming) app's like 3d-cad and rendering program, photoshop, video editing, etc. Is the Biostar Tforce 6100-939 motherboard with athlon 64x2 3800+ @2.0 ghz good enough to handle such app's? and do I need a graphics card sinse the mother board has integrated graphics?

Probably not happily. See the AutoCad site. They like different graphics cards from what we use for gaming.

The motherboard may work, but you will definately need a graphics card. The board's integrated grapics use a combination of your chip's power and some hard disc space to imitate a graphics card, which slows everything down. Both ATI and Nvidia make graphics cards that are specific to your needs, that is business graphics rather than gaming graphics. For that matter, even an older model gaming card would be way better than what your board puts out and could be had at a low price.
