I got the following scores.... At 1M

P4 560 3.6Ghz = 36sec
Pentium D 3.2Ghz = 41sec
Pentium D Oc'ed @ 4.65Ghz = 44sec (throttling)
Pentium D Oc'ed @ 3.93Ghz = 33sec

Feel free to comment or post your scores :)

P4 2.8c @ 3.5 = 40 sec at 1M
May 11, 2006 2:00:29 AM

I have a Opteron 175 overclocked to 2.65GHz and got 32.36 seconds using superpi mod 1.4. BTW, SPi 1.4 is not multi-threaded and only uses one core.
Normaly run this chip at 11x235.8 = 2594MHz and under load tops out at 39C

AMD 2.0 ghz 3800+X2 No Overclock 44 sec.
May 11, 2006 2:35:22 AM

if you slapped some better cooling on that thing you might be able to make a stable 4.6Ghz overclock :)
May 11, 2006 2:50:16 AM

Ya, currently using Scythe Ninja... not too bad...

Currently OC'ed at 3.93Ghz and still maintain voltage of 1.28-1.32v

I got about 01m 10. 969s On the Overclocked rig i got below. Lols pretty Impressive speeds eh. and they're only running on everything that's been listed below. Had to jump the PCI latency up to 35 just to get the graphic card to work correctly.
May 11, 2006 3:25:37 AM

I got 37s on my Athlon 64 3500 @ 2.3ghz.

39s on my P4 prescott oced to 3.41ghz.
May 11, 2006 3:39:32 AM

Lols, Did you ever realise that 3500+ is almost 3 generations beyond what i'm showing my clocks at. Lolls don't even let me tell you how ur 2 processers are supperior to mine. But in the end you have to realise that the AMD Athlon XP 1700+ "Throughbred A" at 1.8Ghz gives you pretty impressive scores. Considering that the 1500+ to 2200+ were only suppoed to be out to be in direct competition of the first ever Pentium 4s lols, in which most pentium 3 1.4Ghz coulda easly trump
May 11, 2006 7:32:10 AM

35 sec. with setup in sig.

33 sec when i had it @3960 :)

Not bad for a CPU that cost me $158(Canadian) a year ago.
May 11, 2006 12:01:27 PM

p4 prescott: 42.515
May 11, 2006 2:41:42 PM

37 sec when i had it at 3.4 (can't be bothered to update sig cos it started getting unstable (it was stable before...))

Sorry if you thought I was replying directly to your score to belittle you? I just wanted to add my scores and hit the nearest reply button which happened to be by your name. You could have bought a socket A 2700+ for like 50 bucks about 6 months or so ago, probably would have been a worthwhile venture.

Obviously no need to be a jerk about it.

I read the title and then the rest of the thread where it had already diverged off topic. Plus it is very interesting info and relatively on topic so I figured what the hell.

Of all the crap posted on this forum, you picked that post to complain about? hehe.

Dude, that's way faster than what I was running. You sure you weren't throttling? something might have been holding you back.
May 11, 2006 8:31:27 PM

I think I figured it out. Are you running dual channel? I'm only running one stick in that machine.
May 11, 2006 8:33:03 PM

yes
could be, single channel seriously kills bandwidth.
May 11, 2006 8:40:48 PM

question: Running the test from the HD and a flash drive make a big difference right? On the flash drive it got 8m 31s

There we go...1m 25s whew!! Hmm...everything in my sig is stock...
you have very impressive speeds ;)
May 11, 2006 8:54:43 PM

Let see how much I can get when I lower my timing, I know that 1Gig and 2Gig will result in the same seconds. Will drop my timing from 4-4-4-12 to 3-4-3-4. Let see how that goes

35 seconds on my 1.66ghtz core duo notebook...
37 seconds on my 3.4e oc'd to 3.9...core duo is gonna kick amd's as for the short term

opty 165 1.3v @ 2.61GHz (290x9) in 38sec
is there a way i can set affinity? will post higher OC score soon
May 11, 2006 9:59:43 PM

Just overclocked a bit more to 11x248 making for 2.73GHz on my Opteron 175 and got 31.12 seconds... Best superpi score I have got so far... Also ran 3DMark06 and got 5,036!
May 11, 2006 10:05:58 PM

i hate you guys with cool ram. haha. even at 2.79GHz i'm still getting 38secs. same as when i was at 2.61GHz ram @ 133. i think my ram is bottlenecking me. i had to set it to 100 in my bios to get my computer to boot at 2.79 (310x9) @1.4v. my ram is ghetto so i have to step it down a lot. 512mb pc3200 kingston value, and pc2700 ocz performance rev 3.2. yargghh... ram or vid card? so i chose a vidcard. i kinda regret it now. ;p free ghost recon on the way though. woohoo! ;p

lol i probably should have pushed for a nice video card, as my ram literally only costed $50 less. 6800gt is outdated while redline high voltage is some of the nicest ddr1 =o

38s on a Mobile A64 4000+ (Newark, 2.6Ghz, pc2700 memory)

i imagine the poor memory bandwidth is holding it back a bit
May 11, 2006 10:40:06 PM

i get 37s with a 3800+ at stock speed, gunna oc it after exams

May 11, 2006 11:51:53 PM

34s - a64 3000+ @ 2.6ghz, ddr 470
hint turn off your firewalls and msn, aim bittorrent when benching superpi, makes a diff. for me it was 2 seconds!!
May 11, 2006 11:52:48 PM

lolls /oMG u should seriously consider an overclock. to atleast (136X12.5=1700Mhz) u'll get sub Teens with this suggestion.
lols hey im running at the P-rating your supposed to be beating

Sadly I set my RAM timing from 4-4-4-12 to 3-4-3-4 and did not even gain one second.

takes at least 100 mhz or more to get a second...nice try though ;p
btw, try taking 2 sticks out since 2 stick dual channel runs faster than 4.

Even if you changed your Timings, Did you have to change the Latency speeds? like to Fast and normal like? Cuse i changed 2/3 to fast from normal.
