Not sure if this is a memory question, or a CPU question.

I am going to be building a new PC soon, and I want to make sure I build it for the best FPS possible for games. I was going to get an AMD, but I've noticed that I can't get an AMD CPU compatible MoBo that supports DDR2 RAM.

So then the question came up, what would the performance difference be with an Intel CPU w/ DDR2 and an AMD w/ DDR.

What you guys think? I've heard that AMD will be going to DDR2 soon, but I also heard that it may be a bit exspensive being so new.

So what do you guys think will get me better FPS overall,
Intel w/ DDR2
or
AMD w/ DDR?

Thanks !

The biggest difference for frame rates comes from video card and CPU. DDR vs. DDRII is squat of a difference atm because Intel procs cant use all the available bandwith (until Core 2 Duo). Get either brand just get a killer Video card

Cool, guess it's gotta be an AMD w/ a bad ass GPU.

Thanks!

**Edit**

On newegg, it says that the DDR standard on the ASUS A8N-SLi is DDR400. Does that mean that I can't put DDR 433 or 533 in this board?

I was thinking of an AMD 64 4000+ San Diego and the A8N-SLi.
