This is quite embarassing, but I'm not too familiar with updating BIOS, Mobo drivers, and on-board sound drivers... In fact, I don't know what the hell I'm doing =/.

Specs:
ASUS P4S8X
Award Modular Bios 6.0
C-Media Device (5.12.0001.0045).

I attempted to visist the ASUS website and find the downloads... but I could not find the correct drivers as was afraid of installing something on accident.

Once again, I am VERY confused over this.. it's been a LONG time since the drivers have been installed. Any links too the drivers or a faq... or anything would be appreciated.

I had that MoBo.

There is a utility on the driver disk that updates the bios in windows, It worked fine for me when I used it.
Easy and straight forward. 1005 is the latest bios update.

Just download the latest drivers from the Asus download section and install.
Just go to the top lefthand corner and type in your model number, make sure it's not the MX or -X version, and select the latest to download from one of the links, save then open.
