hi,
i'm trying to connect my ipaq with pc over wlan.
i can establish connection, but i can't access anything on the pc.
when i type in the file explorer the ip of the pc i get a message 'Cannot
connect with current connection settings. ...'.
i tryed everything i could find on the net.
i'd like to setup this network, so that i can recive streaming video,
cause windows media player cant find anything right now. dunno why.

First things first.
I am by no means an expert and mine was a pain to set up but here are my
tips.
Make sure the connections all relate to "work" and not "internet" - cant get
mine going on "internet" setting.
Then dont try getting access to anything on lan until you have a net
connection via ppc. Also I sometimes have to reset my PC to get it working.
Weak advice I know but its this what got me going.

All I did with my 4150 was to enter the desktop pc name as follows in the ie
pop-up:
\\pcname where the pc name is your specific pc name. Also I had to turn
off all firewalls.
Hope this helps
