I have already installed 512MB RAM on my PC. It is Kingston VALUE RAM, DDR 400MHz with CL3. I am thinking about adding Corsair VALUE SELECT 512MB, DDR400 with CL2.5. Should I have any problem because there will be different brants and also differrent CL?

If your BIOS allows settings mem timings, you can set it manually to CAS 3

If your Kingston will run at CAS 2.5, no problem. If you leave it on SPD, it

may cause a problem. There should be no problems running Kingston +

Corsair.

I think most motherboards auto-detect and will run both sticks at CAS 3. But 1Tanker is right to say go in the BIOS and check for yourself. You always need to run multiple RAM sticks at the lowest common denominator for each setting ... well, if you are trying to run at stock settings anyway.
