I will start with a hello and my setup.
3700+
ASUS A8N-E Motherboard.
Ram: OCZ Platinum Rev. 2 2x512mb Enhanced Latency
Well whenI overclock past 2.8GHz and go to load windows sometimes it will almost load and then crash. I will go back and it will say I have a corrupted file and that it cannot load Windows.
when I overclocked I had the fsb @ 255. Ram 1:1 ratio 3-3-3-6 timings. Etc it all should have been fine. The Voltage was increased to 1.525volts safe enough to test and still it crashed. Any opnions I will consider as I till have a partition corrupted!
Looks to me to be vdimm voltage. Your ram needs 2.8 volts to run properly. TCCD based memory doesnt benefit much from voltage increases but it does from relaxed timings, so no need to go over 2.8volts. Those timings should be good for the HTT you are at now, actually i've seen those sticks run at 250 2-3-3-6. If you want to relax them one more step drop it to 2.5-4-3-7. Let us know how it goes.
