Well, as the title says, I've decided to go for a Geforce 7900GT, there are many brands and spesific models out there, and I was wondering which one to get? need suggestions from ppl who knows about this please.

I see the XFX 7900GT models has pre-OCed models, question is, is it needed to buy this or if I buy the stock speed it would get to their OCed core/mem speeds easily with the same cooler as it seems for both models even.

This One >>> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130015

This is the same card as that one for $290, just the processor on the $400 one is hand selected so it can clock up just over 600MHz. I have one of these cards (the 7900GT KO) and another one on the way, they come clocked to 520MHz/1540MHZ not 500MHz/1500MHz like EVGA offically says. I have mine overclocked, and running cool, at 570MHz/1720MHz. This is just below the speed of the Signature Series card for $110 less. When buying a GeForce video card EVGA is the only way to go. They always have the best cooling systems, these cards are the only 7900GTs to have an all copper cooler that cools the RAM as well. EVGA has a lifetime warranty that allows overclocking and changing the stock cooling system. All the other companies forbid both of those. BFG even is low enough to only cover the fan, the only moving part, for one year. EVGA overclocks better, has the newest drivers before everyone (right now we have 84.56 while every other manufacturer has 84.21) and EVGA has 24/7 phone support. They also have a Step-Up program, where they give you your FULL purchase price you paid for a card tword the purchase of a better card within the first 90 days (you have to send back the old card, they won't let you have two). I just stepped up my 7800GT CO SE to a 7900GT KO for $55. EVGA is the only way to go.

i know this is off topic but i recently decided to go with but haven't bought a ati x1800xt for $299 from newegg, although i have had afterthoughs b/c i would need a new psu ( currently 400W) and maybe another fan cause it runs so hot and it takes up to PCI slots with its huge fan,
so my questions are

Would this card

1) Offer similiar performance for a better price?

2) Require me to get a new PSU

3) Run cooler than the x1800xt

also note that i most likely will NOT OC myself , i understand that the 7900GT is a great OC card which is why i had leaned toward the x1800xt cause it was better out of the box than the 7900GT but since this one is cheaper and factory OC'ed would this be a better choice?
