7900GTX + Arctic Silver 5?

I got an Arctic Silver 5 (12gram) and i was wondering if it could be used with my eVga Geforce 7900GTX with the stock fan & heatsink
If it can be used, does it helps allot it or its not very usefull?

AS 5 should help since it is one of the better thermal pastes available.

Before applying clean off any thermal paste on the GPU and the heatsink. Rubbing alcohol and lint free cloth should be used.

Apply a small amount of AS5, the size of a grain of rice, and spread it evenly with a credit card or something similar. Reattach your heastsink and fan.

It takes about 200 hours for AS 5 to fully cure.
